I'm in the middle of New York.

Some Holiday Inns have terminals for guest internet access. I can't be sure if the one in Rochester will be as nice as this one in Syracuse. And I know I'll probably be offline much of the weekend.

The hard rock station out of Binghamton is WKGB. This amuses me greatly.

I have plants! My parents gave me some of the greenery from the sunspace. I'm worried I'll kill them, which would be tragic considering that one fern is as old as I am (it was in an arrangement my grandmother sent when I was born).

I have some stuff in an apartment. The hard part is going to be tomorrow, and fitting the entire contents of the storage unit into the U-Haul trailer. If all goes well I could not only be in Rochester around dinnertime, I might be able to visit people before getting the final bits of my stuff and giving the Panther back his closet.

I sense a certain D&D game getting hijacked...

Colors are finally OK. Yay! Discovered a handy tool that will give me the hex codes of any pixel I move my mouse over on the screen. This is good.

Still no pictures- silly LiveJournal will not believe that my files are gifs or jpgs. Not sure if it is because the extensions are lowercase, or because my friend really did send me bmp files disguised as jpgs. [livejournal.com profile] benabik, please email or respond with your recommended free image editing tools for OSX. But not that crazy one that involves messing with UNIX libraries, please. Darn GraphicConverter for not being at all free, not even for 15 uses!

Hmmm, must remember to email Natasha and ask if it is OK to part of one of her beautiful paintings on this site.

Having songs stuck in your head when you aren't sure of the title or when in an artist's career they were recorded is annoying. See music.

New growth on fir trees is wonderful- neon green that just screams "I'm alive!" to the entire world.
